Pros

I loved my job!! Helping residents and prospects with their lives at our property was fulfilling. I loved my onsite teams and it was hard to leave them.

Cons

They get their good reviews because they inundate you in your first 90 days to fill out a Google Review in a positive light. You are still stars struck for the most part in the first 90 days. I was there for a year and never got an annual review and they 'didnt have it in the budget' to pay me what other properties were starting at. We had amenities that had been out of service for FOUR years, our coffee machine for residents broke down, our gym was a joke, the "game room" had a pool table and a ping pong table with zero room. There was no AC in the units themselves. The bike room and garage were targeted by thieves and nothing was done about it.

There's quite a bit to download here, so without going too deep I'd like to offer a chance to think and talk through a bit more with you if you're feeling up to it. Shoot me a ping at Nick.Morrison@Cardinalgroup.com

Pros

Company will give a great pay.

Cons

Too desperate to recruit people/managers that are not qualified to be a manager. The lack of proper training and guidance has been evident, and it has been a frustrating and disheartening experience. The hiring of inexperienced managers and their inability to effectively lead and support their team has led to a chaotic and unproductive work environment.

Being a newly invigorated industry with so many moving parts and expectation definitely presents a challenge to those who choose it as a career. While you make good points here, it's disheartening to learn that the efforts to learn and pivot by others who choose the industry didn't live up to your expectations.

Pros

I feel really lucky to have found my role at Cardinal Group. I love the paths I have taken, the people I interact with (internally and externally). I am glad to see how we grow, how we change when needed, and keep moving forward every day.

Cons

Sometimes we do too many new initiatives at a time. It would be nice to not roll so many new things out all at once and let things stick first (if possible) before going to the next new thing.
