Pros

Best onboarding I have had in 20 plus years of work experience. I have never had my equipment or sign ins day one. Amazing culture so far, everyone is allowed to be themselves and treated like adults. Fully remote environment,

Cons

Centralization build out is still very dysfunctional and makes it hard to see big picture or create any consistency. This is a very minimal inconvenience when compared to the "feel" of working here and not having a toxic work environment.

Thanks for the kind words around your onboarding. I'm hoping that as you become more and more immersed, the remaining issues around defining centralization and work from Sr. Management will help us to gain those 5 stars.

Pros

You get a lot of face to face time with your upper management and ownership. Getting projects needed for the property are easily approved if they are in budget.

Cons

There is a lot of nepotism, they will promote someone that has sexually harassed their staff after incidents were reported to HR. If you don’t won’t to play the political game and you want to just work hard it isn’t appreciated or rewarded. There is no work life balance, you either give it all to them or your numbers reflect badly. The lower staff has more say so on the property than management. The rules and regulations only apply to who they want them to, some people have to be warned and written up three times for the same thing before termination while others can be terminated immediately. The pay vs work load is small as well, expectations for you to work around the clock and even on your PTO you have to be available but are not rewarded financially for this. Company is condones inappropriate behavior at business functions. There is a lot of cattiness and drama and for a company who screams acceptance.

Pros

-Tons of properties for potential growth

Cons

Certain cells in CGI might block your growth if it doesn’t benefit their current property.

You touch on a subject that often goes hand in hand with any career progression in an organization. Where there is growth, responsibility for that growth becomes more present. While it's not an excuse or brush off of your experience, it's important to state it since quite literally, neither growth nor successful operations are mutually exclusive.
