Pros

+ Promotions happening often (and being broadcasted) + Extremely smart people working there (compared to me at least) + Close and fun relations between colleagues + A lot of diversity in the workforce + Near to Chipotle (<5 min) + Visa company Being a Visa company definitely has its perks. An obvious one is upward mobility into other Visa jobs; however, after seeing Cardinal's close-knitedness and cohesion between the colleagues, potentially moving to Visa has lowered the importance of that perk. Cardinal is expanding itself, so upward mobility within Cardinal is competitive enough. The diversity is also really strong in the company. They have plenty of interns (during the summer) and foreign employees, which is really nice because I like to respectfully ask questions about their culture and learn about their experiences. I also tend to ask professionally relevant questions too, which are generally answered with enthusiasm and thoroughness. It's cool because there are a lot of smart people there as well.

Cons

- Specific and specialized domain (eCommerce) - Most employees are expected to come into the office - Growing really fast (this is like the negative thing you say in a job interview but it is actually a positive) With rapid expansion comes growing pains but I think Cardinal is playing its cards in a reasonable manner: Slowly hiring and waiting for the right talent. The other downside is that the information is highly specialized (eCommerce transactions) so the learning curve is REALLY steep. They literally have a booklet about all the acronyms that they use. The information also seems "propriety" to their domain, so branching off into something other than online transaction might be tough. There is another potential con that I initially thought was going to be problematic: not being able to work from home. It turned out I actually enjoy coming into work. Some people do work from home but it's not common.
