Great company but there is a lot of room for improvement

Pros

The benefits and work life balance are great. The company is making great strides to offer customers great and affordable health insurance.

Cons

There are a lot of office politics and no advancement opportunities. HR does not have the best interest of the employees. Change is very slow. Opportunities in the company are given to those with tenure. There is a very toxic work culture. Management ignores recommendations from associates who are on the front line doing the work. Work seems to slow down rather quickly during the summer months. This is a pro for work/life balance but make career advancement and day to day activities very difficult to complete. Everyone has a "that's just the way it's always been done" mentality.

Pros

- decent insurance benefits - tuition reimbursement

Cons

- constant reorganization - culture ( old white ‘boys’ network with blatant favoritism) - hiring freeze for a year & a half (selective and arbitrary as some people have gotten promoted during the freeze) - HUGE egos and no humility across the board - ‘leaders’ with great sound bites but no real substance- inauthentic & fake supervisors - not leaders - double standards- some people without degrees are held back from promotion & fair pay- meanwhile there are Directors, Vice Presidents and Executive Leadership without degrees - NO customer service in IT. At all!
