Claims Specialist

Pros

Great stepping stone into the insurance world. If you want to get your start, start here.

Cons

Salary was way under the national and local average for what a claims specialist should have been making, even with certificates you weren't making what you deserved. Over worked and under staffed definitely. They pride themselves on room for growth but in that department there was NO where to go but out the door.

Pros

Great amount of transferrable skills gained from the company. Started as a CSR, ended as a Functional Analyst. Most of the staff are great to work with. Benefits are good. Flexible schedule.

Cons

Politics. Poor management in alot of areas. Higher rank generally means less knowledge and skill. Generally behind on technology. Blame game is very heavy in LGGRP, no one takes accountability. Easy to be blacklisted and trapped in a department. Poor salary

Pros

- weekly team meetings - work from home available - health care partially paid for - 401k

Cons

- very behind on technology. We don't even use GIT - contractors are not included in all team meetings, can cause confusion - not much communication with management and team leads - pay is not competitive with the industry
