My take on CareFirst

Pros

Pretty good health benefits; tuition reimbursement ($3500/year).

Cons

I worked there for over 20 years -- and I never understood the promotion process. There was a guy who became an Sr. VP...who graduated from the Computer Learning Center. But he was like a Frat Brother to others in management and got promoted. Eventually he got canned. What a shock. *** Another con: they don't pay well. *** Con: they're a sweat shop. It was nothing to work 6-7 days a week.

Pros

Excellent health insurance benefits and premium rates. Decent work-life balance. Company always trying to improve during a very unstable political minefield.

Cons

Pay could be more. CD SBU needs more direction, communication down to the associate level, too political.
