Pros

people and culture are the best htings about working here. if you have a sense of humor, don't mind talking on the phone to the dumbest HR people imaginable then you will like it. The poeple are what make it fun. I play catch inthe office, have beers after work, and sometimes we do cool events that revolve around aprtying. Very stressful, but if you're good you can make a lot of doiugh from day one. I have seen it happen a hundred times. Burnout is common but culture is cool. THey play favorites, but not as bad as other companies I have owrked for. You get that everywahere but here performance is measured. You can also question management and they encourage it without repricussion

Cons

telesales sucks. I dont like to make 75 dials and do two and a half hour of talk time. retarded, but they have a point because it forces you to call on new business. my manager was more concerned with his success than that of his employees. this can lead to poor feedback or none. whatever you consider worse. The managers walk around and ask for sales like we are a call center, but then preach about consultative sales. consultative takes time and is not something done the day of. hypocrotical managers. dont be late and then show up ten minutes late. I am not sure if that is to show what its like, but as a manager you should be an example at all times.

Pros

The benefits are ver nice. Compared to other places, you will be very happy in that regard. The atmosphere is also pretty nice. And what I mean by that is, its almost like an extension of college. Everyone there is a a year or so removed from college. Maybe 95% of everyone is 25 and under in the sales positions, so obviously you have a lot of people to meet and extend your network. The problem is though that obvously always working with people so young can lead to an immature environment as well. If you are social, you will enjoy that aspect.

Cons

CareerBuilder is a luck based job. No matter how talented you are, you have to either be lucky enough to be on the right team when you start or lucky enough to fall into someone who is ready to buy when you contact them. I have worked at CareerBuilder for a year and for a company that experiences over 133% turnover on a yearly basis that is an accomplishment. And I can tell you in my time, I have never sold anyone who was not ready to buy regardless of what your team leads tell you. CareerBuilder does not promote the right people into managemenr which is one of their biggest problems. They discourage the bunch by the people the promote.

Pros

To learn the basics of sales and to get good benefits. But my advice is start looking the second you get the job.

Cons

Management is made up of pompous 20 somethings who preach about acting professionally, but will get wasted at company events and dance on tables (literally) No professionalism...the only way to make it is to kiss the a** of your 24 year old boss. Not much room to grow unless your boss quits. They dont care about you...they only care about work and money. And to have your immediate supervisor act like that? Hideous...
