Pros

Reputation as an old Minnesota company with good values. Large privately held corporation with lots of opportunity for movement and career advancement. Good pay and bonus, overall compensation package very good.

Cons

Very lean structure, no work-life balance, management too focused on SG&A impact without any recognition of the work it takes to achieve business goals. Lots of favoritism, lack of openness to change, "this is how its always been done" and then surprise that competitors are innovating faster and are stealing customers.

Pros

The company is growing and offers many opportunities across the US/NA. Other locations seem to have a more ingrained Cargill culture.

Cons

The pay isn't as competitive as they say it is and work life balance is not a thing here. My specific location has an issue with accountability and continues to protect poor performers.
