Pros

Good ethical company, volunteer opportunities, global experience

Cons

IT is seen as overhead and the business units do not feel IT is responsive. As a result, all IT infrastructure is being eliminated and they will be using managed services.

Pros

Any of the businesses that are not associated with Tartan are still great places to work. The entrepenurial spirit of growing businesse and working with customers are tough to find anywhere else. If in the right business, the potential for career growth is significant.

Cons

Stay as far awary as possible from the Tartan initiative. The consultants brought in to implement SAP (primarily Accenture) have poisoned the culture to the point where it's unrecognizable from the Cargill that used to be a great place to work.

Pros

It is a good organization to work for unless you r work in corporate IT. The business unit and functions tend to be better areas to work.

Cons

Outsourcing all IT, that is the goal and they are in the process of getting rid of a large infrastructure IT teams globally.
