Pros

I've always been proud to say I work for Cargill, their values are solid, and their ethics are beyond reproach in my opinion. There have been ample opportunities to advance or learn new technologies.

Cons

Training has always been weak, focused mostly on "on the job" training as opposed to certification, or formal trailing. Within the last 5 years there has been an increased focus on out-sourcing. My believe is that in the next 2-5 years most if not all traditional IT jobs will be outsourced, leaving only contract management roles.
