Slow paced

Pros

Good pay, slow pace, most employees are friendlier than other workplaces

Cons

Boring, some employees are sexist woman haters, the union rep plays favorites, some coworkers flip out for no reason and some try to fight you in the parking lot over pettiness, short breaks, most days you can't take a break because the people that are supposed to give you breaks don't want to, very hot in half the building-90 to 120 degrees fereinhight, 5 floors-10 sets of steps and the elevators been broken for more than a year, equipment is from 70s and constantly breaking but the company keeps trying to motivate the operators to make more production with bandaged machines by buying us generic pizza and cake and giving us t-shirts but the problem is they cut maintenance hours, they also cut the cleaning crew's hours and expecting the operators to do the job of the cleaning crew for the same pay as before at the same time as keep the malfunctioning lines running. The place is falling apart. They won't fix the seals on the tank so we have keep cleaning 40,000 pounds of liquid chocolate off the floor in 120 degrees-same messes over and over again. More and more college graduates with no experience are taking over making the rules about a job they have no training in. It's all going downhill and no wonder why they're so desperate for good employees all the time, they can't anyone like this. We are forced to things we are not allowed to do in order to keep the lines running. Most of the leads in refining get snippy when you ask them to do their job and help you or explain to you how to do things because they think they are being paid more than you to sit on their but and watch YouTube ALL DAY.
