Pros

Good hours for retail. The store wasn’t open late Great employee discount Great coworkers

Cons

Toxic selling culture. They wanted us to heavily push credit card sales even after customer says no A lot of pointless meetings that take you away from the sales floor and tasks Never ending shipment Short staffed- it was not uncommon for me to be the only associate on the clock, even when busy Very low pay. Carters is behind other retail store for the pay

Pros

Great for people without children. Gracious with giving hours, discounts on clothes for kids

Cons

Not great for people with kids, not flexible unless you’re a district manager, horrible maternity and postpartum benefits. They do not pay you and find every excuse not to. They also lure you in with these benefits they never fully intend to grant you. No support for middle management and you’re often on your own with a lot of customers to care for making it hard to protect assets
