Pros

Get to work with great people Competitive benefits. You get to interact with cute kids and play with cute clothes

Cons

Low pay Unrealistic expectations with tasks vs payroll Lack of communication between corporate and store level. (it seemed like everyone was delivering a different message) Zero tolerance for any kind of mistake. If associates don't perform, management is written up. Not enough investment in training (28 hours for Assistant Manager) High stress environment.

Pros

Very relaxed environment...so relaxed people are rarely in the office, Management is rarely around to care, Long lunches, non micromanagement due to lack of leadership availability, Tremendous work/life balance as nobody cares if you show up or not!

Cons

Where to start...leadership is composed of the least inspiring, worst leaders I have encountered in 30 years, leadership team never around, HR is known as Human Resistance department and will never engage, follow up or do any work ( one staff member has 60 absences in 90 days, but HR is unwilling to assist managers, nobody is leading or changing culture, but simply babysitting until his Golden Parachute kicks in when Atlanta transitions all functions to US! Finance department does not empower staff...approvals must be granted before anything is done, and finance turn over in staff is incredible - 10-15 in 2013 and 2014. Corporate tells staff that ethical companies live the values they publish, but Carters does not as they break 2-3 of their 5 - the biggest being Invest in Our People....
