Pros

For retail Carter's has a decent benefit package. (401K, Medical, Dental, Eye, bonuses, etc) The Company is currently expanding, opening new Carter and Osh Kosh stores across the Country which offers opportunities for rapid advancement.. Tries to keep up with latest technology.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations when rolling out directives to stores that add extra stress to those working at store level when trying to service the customer as directed vs trying to complete tasks on time as directed. Payroll allowed doesn't match company expectations in getting everything done. Very stressful work environment compared to some other retailers.

Pros

The product is amazing and the benefits are great for management, especially the 401K. The company is growing and always profitable which creates opportunity.

Cons

It is very difficult to promote from within. The DM training program is very difficult to get into and they still hire from outside when they have internal qualified applicants. The payroll is so tight that there are never enough employees on the floor to maintain sales and workload. DM turnover is high in some areas.
