      Mixed atmosphere at Cascades Tissue

      Pros

      Cascades Tissue has a green and family friendly culture. They have a pretty good profit sharing program in place.

      Cons

      Their facilities are generally older and less efficient than the Canadian facilities. The company has trouble focusing their capital program and they continue to fund the Canadian facilitiies over the US side even though the US growth rate and potential is higher. They are also very slow to react to the market moving to TAD products and that will hurt them in the end.

      Pros

      Cascades pays well for the area, even if it isn't great money. For the salaried folks they are very flexible and allow for dr. appointments, etc.

      Cons

      The current management wants to micromanage everything. The problem is that the current management doesn't know everything. So, they have lost many good people with good skills.

      Very motivating, challenging and a nice work group. Great value for skill sets A friendly work environment Dedicated Senior leadership

      Cons

      Not so great pay. The hikes after annual reviews aren't proportional to your efforts. Very limited opportunities to improve domain knowledge
