Pros

Remote work is the only saving grace.

Cons

- Decision makers offered no guidance and then punished staff when confusion arose - Requirements shifted constantly, leaving employees exhausted and frustrated - Concerns were dismissed, and responses became hostile rather than helpful - Fear and control dominated daily interactions, making turnover inevitable and morale collapse unavoidable

Pros

My manager had a solid understanding of the market problem and what needed to be addressed.

Cons

- The CEO constantly second-guessed technical decisions, reopening settled discussions - Architectural plans shifted based on personal preference rather than technical necessity - Constant backtracking caused repeated churn and wasted effort - Teams were forced to undo completed work over and over - Progress was stalled and productivity suffered daily - Frustration and exhaustion became unavoidable due to indecision at the top

Pros

The one upside was that the internal tools actually loaded quickly, even if nothing else moved that smoothly.

Cons

The biggest frustration was how unclear expectations were. Assignments were handed out with barely any context, and any questions about requirements were met with vague, incomplete answer. Employees were left interpreting half-explanations and hoping they guessed right - only to be told later that the outcome wasn't what management "had in mind." Instead of offering specific direction, leadership leaned on ambiguity, forcing the team to redo work that could've been done correctly from the beginning.
