NO CAREER GROWTH
You will get basic cross-training across the register and kitchen, but might end up only on register or only in kitchen because management thinks you are best suited to work in that position.
UNRELIABLE INCOME
If you want more than 20 hours a week, you will have to be available from 3 AM to midnight, or be ready and willing to cover for people who call off sick. If you want to work reasonable hours, you will get between 10 and 25 hours a week.
FAST-PACED
Sometimes it will only be two people in the store- one at register and one in the kitchen. Many orders will come in and you will have to scramble to keep up, while doing dishes and keeping the warmers full. You won't get breaks unless you eat during slow periods, or if someone is kind enough to cover for you while you run to the restroom.
LAZY PEOPLE
Depending on who you're working with, you can either have someone who works alongside you, or someone who leaves to smoke or chat with customers. People do not follow the rules, but don't complain because management is too busy working themselves sick.
