Pros

The job is extremely easy . Store Side responsibilities include running a cash register, making coffee, and keeping the store stocked and clean. Kitchen responsibilities include preparing food, maintaining a clean kitchen, and making sure all food items are well stocked. Life long friendships and relationships have been known to form in this type of work environment.

Cons

Constant disrespect from both customers and management. Contains as more drama than a high school. Management has been known to let people go without notice. Expect to be constantly called into work and to stay late. Work environment is very unsafe. Examples include employees are not behind protective glass and are not trained on how to handle robberies or if someone gets injured on property. Opportunities for advancement are not there. I have been with the company for 5 years and I have been passed up for promotions several times.

Pros

Fun atmosphere, got along with most employees until the drama started. The store I work in is all females, annoying.

Cons

There was nothing in the handbook about hair color. I got in trouble for having blue/green hair while my coworkers had bright red and even purple. The manager told me she couldn't do anything about it. Well, the next time I came in to work my shift, I was told if my hair wasn't changed then I would be suspended and possibly fired. Luckily I had already changed it. But the entire principal of her demanding me to change it and possibly firing me for something she legally could not control was absolutely absurd. Workplace discrimination. Also, one time I went into work 4 hours early to check the schedule to see who was off. I was being responsible looking for someone to cover my shift bc I was puking. Well, district manage was there and asked if I had a case of "Friday-itis." COMPLETELY unprofessional and rude. How do you expect your employees to be enjoyable while working if you treat them like garbage? So I found someone to cover for me. Well today, my manager called me asking if she needed to change the schedule for next week bc I "clearly can't handle 5 days a week plus school." I took the time to tell her I can handle it, I was just sick. I then proceeded to tell her I had a doctors note, she said "I WILL DO WHAT I HAVE TO DO THEN AND FIND SOMEONE TO WORK FOR YOU" and she hung up. Needless to say, as soon as I find a new job, I AM GONE. In an unprofessional manner, no notice. Treat me like garbage and expect the same response.

Pros

Opportunity for advancement, if you are willing to sacrifice. Plenty of training available. My immediate supervisor was a really good boss. Just had too much on his plate

Cons

It seems like they sit in the corporate offices writing policies and procedures without considering the "real people" who are out there making the company successful.
