Absolutely not a tech company but masquerades as one Pay is atrocious despite being located in lower cost of living areas Expectations often unclear creating friction between divisions Company doesn't offer a "sexy" product, at the end of the day it's essentially automotive with larger margins

I have an amazing manager, a fun team, and I've learned a lot in this role. It's a big company so there are so many people to learn from. There are many opportunities to take on new roles. It is usually expected that you switch roles every 2-5 years to keep growing and learning.

Cons

The culture at the company has dramatically changed in the last two years. It has become a culture of surveillance and chaotic urgency without prioritization from senior leaders. They also eliminated all DEI efforts last year, which reflects the old-school, conservative values of our leadership. Senior management is out of touch with what workers need to thrive, recommending we hire help to mitigate work-life balance stressors as we returned to the office, all while freezing pay.
