      Pros

      Great team, good training, resources available, good strategy communication.

      Cons

      Every year now we are asked to get two digit improvements. Investment is available, but sometimes technology and automation does not apply to some processes, and still we are pressed for two digit improvements.

      Lift at Caterpillar (from a very normal employee who doesn't wanna sound pro-corporate)

      Pros

      - Culture is open to accepting new ideas / engineering opinions - Pay is decent and really good compared to other mechanical companies in India - Opportunities to travel overseas (based on your role) - No " sir " culture like any Western corporate setup - People are easy going and you could walk up to the VP to say Hello, without feeling intimidated or being judged - No strict office hours. One could come in and go based on their job role and overseas countries he/she is supporting

      Cons

      - Time management becomes challenging when supporting multiple overseas facilities - Promotions take several years between roles and hike percentages are not as attractive as similar sized IT companies
