      Plenty of people let you do their jobs, if you want to actually achieve your goals.

      Cons

      Managers do not exhibit "Values and Actions."

      Not bad - worth a career stop to have it on your resume

      Pros

      It's nice to work for a leader and a recognized company. It has good recognition to have on your resume - it makes you more desirable to the employment market.

      Cons

      Employees are not highly valued - they are one more lever that can be pulled to make the quarterly numbers. The work environment has significantly deteriorated over the last 7-8 years. It feels like Cat is trying to lose the superior employer image it had and striving for normal or average turn-over rates. Don't expect any loyalty - that's just the way it is.

      Not what they used to be.

      Pros

      Good company that rewards employees for delivering and executing. Good benefits and improved work locations and conditions (work from home).

      Cons

      No longer a "for life" work place with less and less loyalty to employees. Promote strong values but is only enforced and supported it to a point, but equally will take the opportunity to make drastic and unwarranted reductions without any notice or warning.
