      Toxic environment Untrustworthy culture Silos Lengthy hiring process Don’t do it - this company is basically a startup and doesn’t care abt the voices of their employees. If you work there, start looking for a new job as soon as you start!

      Someone wanted a review, so here it is

      Pros

      There is plenty to do and some teams are good folks to work with. Some of the areas are on the leading edge of what can be done. Intangible benefit of helping "catch the bad guys" (caveated with "its a tool, and like any tool can be used for good or bad").

      Cons

      Apparently someone wants us to do GlassDoor reviews. Getting things done across teams can be difficult, it seems like it takes getting a VP involved to get a response from another team, including support teams. Cheap knick-knacks as morale "boosters" (spoiler: they're not). Internal IT seems to be somewhere in the late 90s, out of date concepts and methodologies. When questioned, either no response or pointing to vendor instructions (which are also out of date) - no (apparent) clue in regards to the issues raised nor the problems that have been created. Lots of reminders to vote for the company and products for various awards in the fields the company works in. Users of the products should be doing this voting, not employees. Apparent lack of concept as to compensation requirements for technical staff.

Our IT department has developed greatly in the past year both technologically and in terms of service oriented approach and is much appreciated by internal interfaces. We hear you on the “cons” and while some are a matter of point of view (many employees appreciate our investment in giveaways and swag), we will take those points for review with the relevant parties.
