Pros

sales experience, meeting new clients and interacting with the public and community. Not a whole of positive anything goes on at this company except for padding the pockets of the "very few"

Cons

When the company went corporate a few years ago everything went downhill. Company turnover is around about 50- 60 percent thus leading to a decline in good salespeople, decline in pay and leaving little room for growth opportunity. To make money you have to sell Refurbished Equipment on two year contracts. You have to overcharge customers in accordance to VerizonWIreless online or corporate stores. The reps lie and then leave other rep to clean up their messes, which is why you rotate stores everyday. The East Tennessee Market is truly operated like a 3rd rate convenient store. Immaturity and ignorance reigns supreme here and I would avoid this market if your family, your income and social life are important to you. They will pump you up with all these statistics, their success from years past and when you get your paycheck your jaw hits the floor when you see your deactivations. Believe the negative reviews you read and disregard the positive reviews of this company as it is most likely a complete line of crap and someone who was told to write a good review..They encourage their Managers, RD's, Recruiters and other leaders to write good reviews on sites like this one.

Pros

great market position, still very autonomous, you can still make great money with very few sales-for example I have made $400 and $500 and $600 for the day several times, so It can still be done.

Cons

they seem to reward dishonesty, and they make it hard to earn commission, I was due a commission check but 2 days before the company sent an email explaining that we were not getting one. so on paper you can earn over $200 a day but the comp plan gives them soo many opportunities to charge you more than you made that your lifestyle could be like a minimum wage worker. and its nepotism at all cost no matter how many good people the company looses they keep bringing in these country boys who are soooooo dishonest and shady. They actually promoted people who committed insurance fraud against the company, but fired people for being late.

Pros

Best compensation in the wireless industry. Relatively flexible schedule. Unique experience that will only make you more rounded as a sales professional. Very little micro-managing.

Cons

Managing Partners / Regional Directors who are completely out of touch with their sales force. If you are not at least a little unethical, you will never be in the top 50% of the sales leaders. Management uses the old car dealership mentality of flooding the sales floor with salespeople, which dilutes commissions and has caused a ton of turnover; then the Directors act puzzled by the turnover. You are responsible for missing equipment, and it comes out of your paycheck if it's not found. If you have a family, the benefits are a joke. Their current sales strategy forces you to spend a ton of time with clients, while deceivingly pitching about 20 different products. You will be required to drive up to 120 miles at times to work a shift, as the market spans a very wide distance; you are not reimbursed for mileage, fuel or wear and tear on your vehicle. If customers cancel their service (or are canceled due to non-payment) you are charged back not only your commissions, but also for the equipment. (I am not sure how this is even legal)
