Pros

Discount on phone plan and accessories. If you like to wear a suit to work, that could be considered a pro.

Cons

This company has a horrible culture and extremely high turnover rate. Anybody that works here is currently looking for better opportunities. Unreasonably difficult commission structure that changes almost every month. You never know what you will be getting paid, and that is if you are one of the lucky few that gets a commission check. The California market is by far the worst market in terms of shady practices. The Regional Directors have no idea what they are doing and act extremely immature. Once you have a couple of "bad sales months" you might as well quit then, because you are essentially digging yourself deeper into debt with the company since you do not get paid "hourly," it is just a draw against future commission earnings. They want you to look, dress and act like a manger because there is no manager in the store, but pay you a measly amount of money. No vacation time, so if you want to leave for vacation or personal time off, you need to convince your coworkers to take over your shifts for you, which nobody ever wants to do. This company is not like corporate Verizon in almost any way shape or form. They charge customers "activation" and "programming and setup" fees on top of anything Verizon corporate charges. They also will sell you phones at a higher cost than anywhere else, along with the high markups on accessories. This company will also make you drive over an hour away to other store locations and not reimburse you a dime for travel expenses. Do not expect to be given time to take lunch or breaks, because they do not allow that at this company. Once in a while the Regional Directors (the only real leadership) will come into the store, try and get you to drink the "kool-aid" tell you everything you need to be doing better and then they proceed to leave an hour later, not to be seen for a month or sometimes much more. I would never shop at any Cellular Sales location, nor would I recommend and friends or family to shop in any of the locations nationwide based on the practices they engage in.
