Pros

-People are very smart and mission-driven -There is no battle of egos at Censeo. People are incredibly kind and are valued -Perks and work/life balance are very good (~50 hrs/week with limited to no traveling) compared to typical consulting work/life expectations (~60-70 hrs/week with travel 4 days/work week) -Project managers care about your professional development; if you ask for more responsibility, they'll put you in a position to develop and succeed

Cons

-Remote working model hinders cohesiveness of project teams (some employees may feel disconnected from the firm because of it) -The nature of government consulting leads to a very long time before results are seen -Some projects end up being very tactical and not strategic

Pros

Work week is reasonable at about 50 hours or so. Limited travel to client site, and an ability to work from home a couple of days a week. People are very nice & friendly.

Cons

Work is exclusively federal government procurement improvement related to strategic sourcing

Pros

Good compensation, benefits, and hours. Management cares about you as a person and a merit-based promotion system. People are recognized for hard work, and colleagues are very collaborative and supportive. Little to no travel involved so you are able to feel like you live in DC and have a life outside of work.

Cons

Some of the project work is boring and it can be difficult to create change within the government. But at least with consulting, you get to switch projects every few months so you don't get too bored.
