Declining benefits and pay damage employee morale

Pros

used to have good medical insurance

Cons

The employee benefits package has declined significantly since the merger. The medical cover was one of the few genuinely competitive benefits offered by the company and a key reason many employees chose to stay. It was therefore extremely disappointing to see these benefits reduced, with little transparency and insufficient communication regarding the changes. The timing has only made matters worse. After a year of hard work and strong commitment from employees, the salary increase this year was already disappointing. The decision to cut medical benefits on top of that has further damaged employee morale and trust. There is a noticeable disconnect between what leadership says and what employees experience. We regularly hear messages from the CEO about retaining talent and making the company a place where people want to build long-term careers. However, the decisions being made suggest otherwise. If the goal is truly to retain employees, the company needs to demonstrate that through meaningful actions rather than corporate messaging. Unfortunately, the direction of travel is concerning. Compensation is becoming less competitive, benefits are being reduced, and employee concerns appear to carry little weight. As a result, it is increasingly difficult to see a long-term future here

Pros

People here are generally well taken care of. Benefits are solid, especially the medical coverage. The flexibility is one of the biggest perks (25 days leave, hybrid setup, plus work from anywhere), which really helps with work-life balance. The team is diverse and easy to get along with, so it doesn’t feel too corporate day to day. The business is still evolving, which keeps things interesting, and if you perform well, it definitely gets recognised and rewarded. There are also regular social events and the overall culture feels quite young and energetic. There’s a pretty clear career path too, and I’ve heard of people getting promoted within 1–2 years based on strong performance, so growth is definitely there.

Cons

cant think of anything except for the water leak coming from one of the rooms, but its honestly not a big deal to me
