It's all fun and smiles until it's time for a company to show how much they really care about their employees, which, Law Business Research does not. They stopped the furlough scheme in the summer even though it still had months left, citing 'business reasons'. Instead of furloughing staff for as long as possible they decided to make people redundant. It wouldn't have cost the company anything to save their staff from horrible financial situations for as long as possible. The fact that they chose to toss staff earlier than was necessary was very disheartening and caused a lot of people undue stress. Many former employees are still having a hard time because of the callous decisions taken by the Board.
