Lots of opportunities to take on extra responsibility. Friendly highly motivated colleagues. Great strides made in learning and development and diversity and inclusion in recent months.

Cons

High workload - resource in business support functions could be improved.

Really looks after staff

Pros

It really looks after its staff - takes into consideration mental health and wellbeing (for example it gave us Mental Health Day as a day off) and has been very open and understanding regarding covid. It is also very transparent with what's going on higher up in the company. In normal times, the opportunities for travel are great too.

Cons

Refusal to let people work from home apart from in exceptional circumstances is unnecessarily inflexible. Hopefully the pandemic has shown that it is possible and effective. The general subject matter/target audience of the company doesn't particularly interest me, but that's more of a personal preference.
