Pros

The people I worked with were wonderful and really loved what they were doing. The hours were nice 8-5.

Cons

The pay for regular employee's was horrible, most had not gotten raises in years. The management was the worst I have seen in many years of working in the industry. I have never worked in such an unprofessional environment. The finance department was unprofessional and played favorites, actually screaming and yelling at subordinates in front of the entire department on a daily basis.

Pros

Mission Driven, service oriented, high participant satisfaction. Home and community based health care for frail low-income seniors who would otherwise be placed in institutional care. Good community support for organization.

Cons

Little to no chance for advancement, little to no chance for ongoing professional development. Culture is very mom and pop at a time when health care needs to be entrepreneurial and forward thinking.
