Love my career choice but work experience at centerlight average.
Pros
Working with the elderly kepts you humble and grounded. It's a pleasure to learn from individuals that have truly experience life and can share wonderful stories with you. Staff is well compensated for the given area of occupation (i guess). Hours of operation is good. Work facilities are well kept.
Cons
Working at centerlight is an experience...Upper management can be fraudulent. I have seen some good managers forced to resign simply because an escape goat was needed. It is not clear what the true mission of the organization is really about (they read it to you but action speaks louder than words) While they talk about promoting from within it is difficult to move from non-managerial to managerial positions. I have worked there 7+ years and can attest to a high turnover, layoffs and burnout.
