Pros

secure job, once hired as full time it is very difficult to get fired; takes an illegal act - not the whim of a manager.

Cons

too much micro-management, very stressful - expectations are that you are available by email 24x7 - including all weekends & holidays. very antiquatated, regressive culture. Most staff have 25 to 35 years of seniority and they weild that over you. The mindset is very much "union" at all levels and they will not waver or vary from "treating everyone the same" - yet FAVORITISM IS RAMPANT!

Great benefits, huge potential for moving up, large format company with a lot of influence in the community.

Cons

Some departments are old guard, not quite sure how to grow the company. Lack in standardize processes.

Good core values concept and benefits. CEO is great! Was there for over 22 years...

Cons

Not very open to diversity in workforce. Senior Management very entrenched in covering for managers and unfair promotion / hiring practices.
