Centric Brands (BCBG, Joe's Jeans, BEBE) is a total joke.

Pros

The only pro is that the new building in Hollywood is great.

Cons

Where can i start? 1. No direction, the executive team has no clue. 2. No employer loyalty, no support from management. 3. Lack of communication, especially from HR. The HR department in LA is the lamest ever. 4. Racist, sexist upper management. You have to be tall, white and skinny to get anywhere in this company. I am completely surprise that there's no lawsuits yet. I wonder how much employment insurance they are paying. 5. No culture whatsoever, the identity of these brands are gone.

Pros

NYC office is in the Empire State Building that's without a doubt the only pro

Cons

Old school retail company with top down rule by fear management CEO hypocritically preaches company values and is "People Centric" but cares nothing about employees health or well being. There are no work hours, you will be told you need to work Saturdays with no prior notice. Company has never once offered time off as payment for work on weekends/past 12:00AM, it's expected not asked. There's no such thing as "work-life balance" Toxic culture with employees only incentivized to look out for themselves with fear of management's ever changing and unrealistic deadlines, for example: everyone's work is the "main priority," they will reach out to people below them until a higher exec comes along and asks for something more important, prior work is shelved with no communication causing multiple people to work on the same thing until the next project comes, the work goes nowhere and is for nothing until weeks later it gets brought up again and the cycle continues Company filed for bankruptcy and continues to operate in the same manner that found themselves bankrupt in the first place - it hasn't changed and won't

Pros

Summer Friday’s and most of the people are great to work with!

Cons

As previously Global Brands Group there was no/ very poor culture, extremely low morale, very high turnover, no company stance, no corporate initiatives, no leadership from top executives, etc. Now that the company has separated and is now Centric Brands, if you can even imagine, it is even worse. There are no standard protocols in place to foster the growth of their people. No employee growth plans. This company is in dire need of professional, experienced leaders in top level. Without this change the company will most definitely fail.
