Don't believe the hype!

Pros

Some nice people work for the company.

Cons

They make a lot of great promises to get you to work there and do not follow through on their promises. Leadership are all close friends with each other so it is a futile effort to try to address issues and suggest changes. Leadership does not work in the prison system, so they do not understand it or really care; as long as they continue to get the prison contracts and collect the money.

Pros

Hours, decent benefits, interesting clients with variety of mental and health diseases. Opportunity to treat and care for a very underserved population.

Cons

What recruiter and HSA outlined as flexibility of hours, job expectations and clinic expectations changed after first couple of weeks. Substandard care given, policies and procedures not being followed, nurses working outside of scope of practice, not following provider orders, becomes hostile work environment when concerns voiced. Poor training for new employees. Rules depend on if you have a personal relationship (via family connections/friendships) or what favors you can do for your HSA. Although a private company contracted to give service for a state entity, some employees have worked for both, so the sweeping under the rug attitude carries over to the state side, again because of personal relationships. Very underhanded dealings going on behind doors. Trust no one-they will be secretly related to someone higher up.

Pros

Good pay, never a dull moment

Cons

Don't respect or value long term employees. Terminate employee(s) when they brought up issues concerning licenses being in jeopardy to higher ups when site management ignored their complaints!!! Fired with no prior disciplinary action prior to! Management is a joke, keep staff that should of been fired for: falsifying documentation, administering medication without being certified, cursing fellow staff members, just to mention some of the things they swept under the rug!!! They are all about "warm body syndrome" they don't care if the nurse is a good nurse or not just as long as it fills a post!!! Hell they promoted the staff member that falsified documentation!! Go figure!! Hope they lose their contracts!!
