      Pros

      great coworkers for the most part. was fortunate to work with many talented individuals with no egos. great technology, great projects in pipeline... good work-life balance. flexible times, free food 2 times a week at least..

      Cons

      changes slowly being made ever since Danaher take-over. former CEO is in NO way a friend of mine. Decided to sell company to Danaher and retire... probably knew the company was losing $$. HR was always a weak point even before the take-over. Bad communication on HR end with other departments... Recent budget cuts... company cares more about making an extra dollar than keeping employees... very difficult to get promoted unless you have a popular manager. i was never promoted during the 4 years employed here.. possible inside back-stabbing... just because you complete all your work and go beyond your job, it does not mean you will get promoted.. only 3% max annual increases and no bonuses unless you are top level.... maybe things will be better with Danaher? highly doubt it...

      I could probably do nothing for at least 6 months without anyone noticing.

      Cons

      No communication. No transparency, Silo'ing of information. No training. 100% of the time is spent putting out fires and 0% of time on strategic planning. Upper management doesn't listen. Future plans are all smoke and mirrors. Poor evaluation of talent. Lack of turnover leads to complacency and laziness. "Fibbing" is encouraged and acknowledged by VP level individuals... ie lie to employees and set false expectations to boost work output in the short term.

      Pros

      The people - Many of the entry level/worker bees were some of the best friends I ever met. If you were under the right manager, they were very keen on training you for new skills. Not much else, though.

      Cons

      Management. The executive staff created a culture where people were too afraid to say anything other than "yes." This just set up people to fail, and often heads would roll for the smallest mistake. But as long as you were not in the immediate path of the exec team, you might be okay. Unfortunately, it just wasn't a healthy environment to be in at all.
