Pros

Truly innovative product with real potential to completely change care paradigm forever. Benefits are solid, people are very smart, and a lot of employees genuinely care about the mission.

Cons

Day-to-day is constant crisis mode. Everyone is hair on fire, all the time, and a lot of it comes down to the CEO's management style built on chaos and whiplash. There’s no clear direction or strategy. It’s “throw stuff at a wall and see what sticks,” except you or your team is the wall. The executive turnover / resignations tells the story better than any internal memo ever will. Chief People Officer lasted a few months. Chief Business Officer lasted about a year. Several VPs and/or Heads of important functions have also turned over very quickly. That’s not “a few bad hires”. That’s a pattern. If your job requires dealing with the CEO regularly, you will be asked for the near-impossible, you will sprint nonstop, and when you inevitably can’t hit an ever-moving target, you’ll be blamed for it. If you’re more junior level and insulated from the top, it can be a decent place to work. Smart coworkers, good intentions, and real passion for the mission. But at the mid-levels and up, once you’re consistently exposed to the CEO and her enablers, engagement drops off a cliff and the job becomes miserable. The culture turns into survival. If you’re considering a Director + role here, do not. Stay far, far away.

Pros

The mission is meaningful, and frontline employees care deeply about patient impact. There are smart, committed individuals trying to do good work despite the environment.

Cons

The single biggest issue at Ceribell is leadership. Direction changes frequently, often without transparency or acknowledgment of prior decisions. Strategy feels reactive rather than thoughtful, and employees are expected to absorb the consequences of inconsistent executive decision-making. Accountability does not flow upward. When initiatives fail, blame tends to cascade down rather than being owned at the top. This creates a culture of defensiveness instead of ownership. Trust erodes quickly in that kind of environment. Communication from leadership lacks clarity and consistency. Big decisions are rolled out with limited context, and feedback loops feel performative rather than meaningful. Employees are told they are valued, but structural actions don’t reinforce that message. There is a visible gap between stated values and actual behavior. Burnout is normalized. Turnover is rationalized rather than examined. Concerns are acknowledged verbally but rarely addressed in a sustained way. Talented people leave not because the mission is flawed, but because the leadership environment makes it difficult to do excellent work.

Pros

Product makes a product that benefits many

Cons

You're going to be worked to the bone, and nobody's gonna have your back. If you’re not friends with the senior management or don’t have an ex-McKinsey badge on your chest, prepare to carry the load of three people, seven days a week. Management won’t lift a finger to help you grow or develop, while their pet favorites get the perks, promotions, and awards with no real process behind it. It’s a tough place, and if you're not in the 'inner circle,' good luck getting ahead.
