The company completely embraces agile practices across all of the offices, and this makes it surprisingly easy to collaborate with your colleagues in other countries. It also means that you have a say in planning out work in each sprint cycle, and deadlines are always realistic - so you feel under just the right amount of pressure. The company is growing really quickly without losing the core standards or company culture. There are lots of opportunities for socialising and working with colleagues in other teams. There is plenty of optional training on offer, and you are given enough support to be able to thrive in your job. The development team benefits from having lots of developers with diverse backgrounds, who have a healthy interest in programming outside the immediate scope of what they're working on. There is lots of intelligent debate around coding standards and solutions, and this ends up being compiled and ratified in an internal development wiki. This, combined with things like peer review and automated testing means that everyone produces really high quality code. When you end up working with these codebases, it's a lot easier and more enjoyable than most of the code I've dealt with in my professional life. It's also really cool that you're given a mac to work on and can take it home for personal use. And the company is flexible on working hours, which makes it far easier to manage things like personal appointments, or having workmen visit your house etc.
