Amazing potential, amateurish implementation.

Pros

There are some amazing people here, and great products with real potential. There is also a window for ffdc to gain a real leading role for some of the types of software we sell. But that window is very narrow, and it is closing.

Cons

Confused, misdirected management and executive team. The "leadership" at this company is an advertisement for how the Peter principal and the old boy network destroy promising enterprises. A small set of people have been promoted far beyond their competence, and they are destroying any potential this company has. This is a startup run by people who do not know what a startup is, and they completely fail at understanding how a startup becomes successful.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how you feel. It is unfortunate that you don't have confidence in the leadership team at FinancialForce. I encourage you to reach out to me to discuss how we can help improve your experience as an employee, as well as increase your confidence in the decisions the leadership team are making to move the needle. Pros

Growing company. Visionary CEO. Have met some great friends working here. Fun vibe in the office, and in a great location.

Cons

95%+ of the Sales team is under quota, it is way too saturated now The product is native to Salesforce.com, but that's about it. No other real value proposition. And the buyers of our products could care less about the SF platform, so our only real value-add is marginal at best. The company touts a strong alliance with Salesforce.com, but the love is not reciprocated. This 'little brother complex' creates a lot of problems and unrealistic expectations. If you're in Sales, be prepared to pound the phone, work your butt off and maybe get lucky closing some deals. But even then, you'll still probably get laid off.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We agree; our CEO is an awesome visionary! I'm sorry to hear that your experience at FinancialForce sales hasn't been what you thought it should be. I would encourage you to reach out to the Employee Success teams we can look into some of the concerns you've highlighted with you. As a rapidly growing company, we do move fast and it can seem sometimes like we are getting spread thin. We always focus on making sure that doesn't happen. If you feel that is the case, please reach out to me so I can help. We use all feedback, positive and constructive, to continually improve. Thank you again!

Pros

The pros I will mention, are essentially smoke & mirrors: Selling cloud technology Mac computer What seems to be a fun culture for those working in San Francisco

Cons

Management: They have no idea how to develop their employees. They manage to details that do not develop talent, or increase performance. They take a negative view on all aspects of their business and are more worried about maintaining salesforce hygiene than they are making their people better. The company has little support for remote employees. The company has no training and development. The company operates like it has 25 employees , not 700 The technology isn't as mature as I was lead to believe in the interview process The sales quotas are unrealistic and not proportioned to the territory. Dramatically understaffed with sales engineers which makes running an effective sales cycle almost impossible. Need an answer to something? good luck. Employees are either over worked, or simply don't care. I'm not sure which. Over 90% of the sales team is under 100% of plan, therefore your quotas are way off.

Thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate to see this sort of feedback from anyone, but it can only help us improve in areas where people feel frustrated and in need to training. Luckily we have a plan that includes a deeper level of training and development for our employees. Additionally, I would love to have the opportunity to discuss your concerns in person if you are so inclined. All feedback, positive and constructive, helps us be a better organization.
