Pros

Students and courses are awesome! The organization has good intentions overall. The assistant deans and deans have improved in their accolades of staff and in showing appreciation at faculty meetings.

Cons

Things have changed for the negative for visiting professors. Communication about offering courses has really declined. We used to have a good idea by Week 5 how many classes we would get for the next term. Now we wait and wait and hear nothing sometimes until a week before term start, when we then have to scramble to get ready or deal with a term of no income. We are expected to comply with all requirements, yet our time and finances are not respected.

Don't expect to be respected here

Pros

The longer you work here, the easier and more predictable the work becomes.

Cons

Management is a revolving door, it is normal to get a new supervisor every couple of terms or so. Classes get canceled without much notice and professors are left without a course as little as a day before the term begins. The Visiting Professor salary hasn't changed in over 14 years in some departments. Chamberlain University only cares about profit, they don't care about their instructors or students. Most of your time is spent grading instead of actually teaching.
