Going Downhill Really Fast

Pros

I am trying to gather my thoughts and there is nothing positive about the company as a whole. The team that I am under and report to, have their employees best interest at hand. They listen, are empathetic and support teams solutions when issues arise. ChargePoint used to be a great company to work for until they removed the original executive staff and brought on the current executive staff. That's when everything went downhill.

Cons

Seems like the Chief Revenue Officer calls the shots and runs the company not the CEO. ChargePoint went public and hired way too fast and way too many people. They also acquired 2 companies and no one knows what they do or how they contribute to the company. Wasteful spending is one of the reasons the company is failing, running out of cash and borrowing. ChargePoint had an amazing culture, we used to have nerf wars on Fridays for the employees to unwind, recognize monthly birthdays and work anniversaries, celebrate cultures, have potlucks and support organizations during the holidays. When the new executive team came on board, all of that went away. The culture is horrible. If you want to grind all day with no appreciation, then ChargePoint is the place for you. ChargePoint went through 2 layoffs this year and the executive didn't seem to care. It was business as usual. The CFO said in a townhall that it hurts the executive team more to layoff than the person being laid off. That was a callous statement and goes to show you how they really feel. The executive team makes hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions. They have a ton of company stock. So if anything happened to them, they are fine. It's the employees who grind all day that is truly impacted and don't have millions of dollars to sustain them.
