Pros

Paycheck and good coworkers for the most part

Cons

Bad health insurance, took away 401K match, delayed merit raises, cut bonuses by 2/3, unpredictable hours and have to come back for late night functions and weekends

Pros

There are a lot of amazing people who work here, including two of the best supervisors I've ever had. In the two roles I've worked at this site, I have gotten to know so many kind people. The parking area is secure and there's a cafeteria onsite that serves breakfast and lunch. There are opportunities to transfer between departments and roles. The paid time off allocation is better than what many employers offer, and there is also volunteer time off you can use while you volunteer for an approved cause.

Cons

There is a recent shift for return to office and jobs that are currently hybrid are now being posted as onsite 40 hrs/week. There are now more limitations on those who can work hybrid- it no longer supports flexibility which had been a perk in the realm of work/life balance. They want quality work but fast, which is always a challenge. The support for employees as people feels diminished, and it's frustrating to see jobs posted that they let people go from only a few months ago (global management guided large layoffs). Training is better in some departments than others. HR is inconsistent in who gets punished for what and doesn't always handle issues professionally.

Pros

I don’t have any pros

Cons

Took away the 401k match, poor communication across all Charles River sites, HR is fully remote and frequently ignores employee correspondences. They also took away a good payroll program and replaced it with an inefficient, cheap program that has so many issues and causes much more work for middle management.
