Pros

Charlie Health has been one of the most rewarding places I've worked. The mission of getting teens, young adults, and families access to high acuity virtual care is real, and you can feel it in the day to day. Leadership trusts you with meaningful ownership early, the people across clinical, ops, and product are sharp and genuinely care about patient outcomes, and there's a healthy bias toward action without losing sight of the families we serve. If you want to do impactful work alongside thoughtful operators who push each other to be better, it's a great place to land.

Cons

None so far, been here for 4 months and I'm very happy

Incredible team but toxic leadership undermines mission

Pros

My team members that are on the ground doing the work are absolutely incredible. They are brilliant, kind, supportive, and mission driven. The mission is something to strive for and be proud of.

Cons

Take all positive reviews with a grain of salt, as leadership is currently offering a reward to people who share positive reviews and then submit screenshots. Unfortunately, leadership does not demonstrate the company values, or drive decision making in a way that makes the mission actionable. I have experienced multiple instances of gaslighting and micromanaging that does nothing but burn brilliant employees out. Decisions are made, approved, and then revoked with no explanation. I have been told explicitly that if an intervention doesn’t directly drive profit then it’s not an outcome leadership cares about even if it will have positive impacts on clinical quality. And no one stays long enough to build a positive work culture. People are afraid of the CEO because she will tear you apart for the smallest reason. And if there isn’t something obviously wrong she will make something up to nitpick.
