I have been with the company for 16 years. Management at the Fostoria plant is NOT what it used to be. I have seen a lot of good people get fired because the company doesn't provide ANY sort of support for them. Management fires people if they sense you may need FMLA, going through a divorce or any sort of personal issues. It's horrible!!

It’s fine. Salary is fine. Benefits are fine. Work is fine. It’s a steel mill. Focus on safety is good.

Cons

The messaging from upper management has footer very “peppy”, emphasizing “one family, one team”. The actions of the organization tell a contrasting story, though. Focus is on outside hires, without much internal upward career mobility. It’s just a job.
