      Work there for a year for an experience but move on if you would like to progress

      Pros

      Financially strong company, strong brand, which could be seen as a job security. Chase has great benefits such as medical, dental, life insurance. Compensation could be great, in some cases monthly bonuses can be really high. You can purchase chase stock at discount.

      Cons

      Not matching 401k untill the end of the year, and when matching only if you are still employed with Chase. You can achieve high bonuses if you work in a wealthy area for some time. Very often management hires optimal number of bankers so that monthly bonuses would be minimal and close to zero. In that way bankers work for a base salary, and enough to pay for their costs to the branch.

      Pros

      Good Training for both the licenses necessary and the everyday scripting/ interactions necessary to do the job. Good advancement from within. Allows for feedback on performance and assistance if necessary.

      Cons

      Big Bank feel sometimes makes servicing customers seem impersonal or challenging. Very competitive and sometimes sales goals can have a lot of pressure attached to them.

      Good company overall, but they have taken the personal service out of banking.

      Pros

      Good opportunities to make money, Great senior management, Good Benefits, Very thorough and good training.

      Cons

      Too much of a focus on selling and not on the customers needs. I feel like I'm product pushing sometimes. My immediate management team is dysfunctional and seems unprepared for their responsibilities.
