Pros

Its a good in-between jobs job. The money is dissent and the work does not require a lot of brain activity.

Cons

Management is constantly micromanaging you. Expect you to use car salesman sales techniques.

Pros

You can end up making a lot of money if sales is your forte. The best thing usually about this job is the people you get to work with.

Cons

Its all about sales and nothing more, customer service is said to be important, however the scale of importance is always heavier on the sales side. You have to constantly take people from the lobby and sell them something, even if they have sat with 5 other people their last five times entering a branch. It gets annoying very quickly, both for the employee (personal banker) and the client.
