Pros

Great brand recognition. If you are a sales person there is no other company that will get you in front of more people than Chase, whether lists or lobby. Products on par with other companies for banking and investments. PB / BM positions offer lots of training. If you are hourly, teller or PB work / balance is good.

Cons

If you are any type of mgr, asst mgr, upper mgt or a commissioned salesperson there is no balance between work and personal. No respect from Sr mgt. Constant turnover of Sr mgt means lots of moving targets and no consistant objectives. If someome wants an entry level sales or mgt look at Chase, but if you are looking for long term, look elsewhere. Go to you tube and type in 123 drill and see half a dozen videos on what life is really like at Chase. Turnover is over 40% in some jobs and close in others. In a state with 16% unemployment there should be almost none.

Pros

The retail branches of Chase are an interesting place to work as opposed to boutique retial financial advisory firms. The branch is a great place for traffic and immediate access to customers.

Cons

Depending on the Branch manager, a financial advisor who is interested in making or enlarging a book of business will have a hard time especially since the brance is concerned about the P/L of the branch only and not the business partners.

Pros

great opportunity for recent graduates, excellent way to gain exposure to banking/financial industry, good pay opportunities, work/life balance, good benefits

Cons

degree not required, increasingly more retail. not a bank based on relationships anymore, it's a cell phone store or used car dealership where bankers are expected to pounce on people as they walk in the door. the sales process is SO dumbed down and increasingly gimmicky. the only thing missing in the branch is a big wheel that clients spin to see what they won that day. incentive plan/commission schedule constantly decreased making it harder for bankers to make the same PVC's they did the quarter before. no annual raises EVER, very hard to get promoted, even for national achievers, unless you want to be a branch manager (and don't even try to get into JPMorgan) hours are being increased on weekends and some branches even open on sundays now
