R&D department is a disgrace solely due to an imported, awful R&D manager with atrocious management skills, barely qualifying as an organic chemist. No credits given for the contributions, and above all no research mindset. Bullying is the standard tactic employed for years specifically towards foreign employees, stuck due to their visa restrictions. Heads up warning for foreign or american chemist, to bolt before they join R&D dept in Chattem Chem and mess up and totally ruin their future prospects.

No recognition, No credit, Clear cut racism with international employess v/s Local Employess - be prepared to sweat if you are are non US Citizen and forget getting credit for any amount to good work u will deliver - cheap, political and mean upper management

You get to wear a lot of hats, providing valuable experience for your resume. The level of performance required to stay afloat at CCI will make you a top notch performer at your next company.

Cons

Limited to no room for advancement with no support from your manager. Constant demands for more productivity with no more resources. Top notch performers are given more and more responsibility without reward. Poor performers are defended and protected by management. Unprofessional behavior is not corrected. Bullying is a standard tactic used by managers.
