Lots of Layoffs Since Purchased by CCL

Pros

Good place to work. People are generally very nice.

Cons

Checkpoint was recently purchased by CCL. Since we have been purchased by CCL there has been a lot of layoffs and we have been left in the dark about what direction the company is heading.

Pros

Some good people still remain here, its a great location to get to and from in South Jersey. Benefits are just as competitive as anywhere else. We have pay bands to keep up with market value. Dont expect to be overpaid, but you wont be underpaid either.

Cons

It is difficult to answer. CKP has been acquired so there are lots of layoffs. It seems pretty heartless how they determine who stays and goes as well. You cant blame CKP current staff for this, but be advised of how those lay-offs may effect the person interviewing you and the team you may meet.

Pros

good work-life balance. Good benefits and vacation plan. Pay is fair.

Cons

company has lost any sense of business process. Project managers manage up (i.e. only report on progress) rather than help facilitate projects. Company lacks vision in how to move forward, quickly becoming obsolete. Management is reactionary rather than visionary. Limited advancement opportunities.
