Pros

1 hour lunch. Positive patient relationships.

Cons

This organization does not practice what they preach. They do not care about the patients. They care about liability and costs. They care about the metrics not the V.I.P healthcare they claim to provide. They treat their employees horribly unless they are related or in "cliques" with management. Management, top & middle, are just as horrible. Training is horrible. Basically they will have a senior person (maybe not) show you what is necessary, only the basics. The rest is up to you to figure it out as you go along. Every office does almost everything differently. There are many people who come and go with this company because they cannot commit to lying to the patients and being silent about continued injustices. The owners of this company should be ashamed of themselves. As well as the managers who obliviously play along with the charades. Their bonus structure is horrible. This company clearly have people organizing its structure who are not cognizant of exactly how the job should be performed. The expectations are unrealistic and only attainable if some steps are skipped because every part of every process in every department of this company, has entirely too many unnecessary steps required. Change can be expected in many aspects of a company, but things change here too often. No one can definitively answer questions without being confused because no one knows when something changed.

Pros

Great health insurance, that is about it. Good place to gain experience, but not a good permanent job.

Cons

During the course of 1-1/2 yrs I worked there had 5 different center managers, lot of turnover. Poorly run company, lots of patient complaints. Upper management in Florida havent got a clue about Kentucky. (climate or patient needs) Pay is not great either...

Thank you for taking the time to review ChenMed based on your experience with us. There’s no doubt that being the fastest growing PCP practice in senior healthcare comes with its share of challenges, and finding the best talent to help us all manage during this phase hyper-growth is among them! Especially when you’re reinventing the American healthcare system at the same time. To do all this, it’s important we don’t just re-create the same healthcare experience for patients. Especially OUR patients. Our Seniors deserve more than healthcare-as-usual. They deserve a superior experience. And creating a superior experience means learning from the best and applying those learnings to our model. The hospitality industry offers some of the best customer experiences out there. And when we are open to pairing outside talent with our clinical expertise, we are able to create a superior experience for our members. Best of luck in the next steps of your career.

It’s important for us to ensure the right people are in the right roles across our organization so every team member can be successful in serving our patients. Leaders aren’t always subject matter experts in their fields. In fact, the best leaders work to build teams of experts to help the entire organization work well. Doing this well takes real effort. Effort on the part of the leader and effort on the part of the team members. Sometimes leaders and staff don’t see eye-to-eye, and that’s OK. It can even lead to real progress if managed well. We’re sorry this didn’t turn out to be the right fit for you and your employment needs, but we wish you all the best in your future career as an LPN. You do important work and should feel valued in an organization that’s right for you.
