In it for the benefits

Pros

- great compensation and benefits - covers training or certifications up to $1k/year - flexible - learn new skills

Cons

- support really depends on which manager you get - most of the work is self-led with very little support or structure - title promotions do not come with additional compensation - despite being part of a larger company, there are very few policies and procedures - there is zero communication from upper management when contracts are being reviewed

Pros

This company has had a lot of work with various agencies so great exposure

Cons

Just a terribly ran company. HR is unresponsive and they do not do a great job of keeping track with onboarding. Also company does not keep word as they backtracked on promised bonuses for exceptional work during the summer. They will let things burn and when the contract ends they will leave you out to dry. Avoid at all costs or work to find another more ethical company

Pros

Job security, salary, meaningful purpose

Cons

inconsistent priorities, workload is often more than 40 hours. The reward for good work is more work
