Pros

Excellent pay. Pension, 401k matching.

Cons

Dishonest HR dept. Retaliation from lower mgmt. Threats. harassment. Lower mgmt encourages harassment. Upper mgmt has deaf ears and retaliates with lack of feedback complaints with performance review program to offer "feedback". Ignores completely constructive suggestions. Touts "safety first" while leaving sheetmetal maint lunchroom in "blastzone" while adding on to main office building.

Pros

9/80 schedule (every other friday is off) is great. You can move to a variety of positions in many different locations early on. Hard working but generally laid-back atmosphere. Lots of training and opportunities to learn from more experienced people once you get used to the system. As of 2013, they are eager to send engineers to Saudi Arabia (other international locations exist as well) if you are interested in living internationally.

Cons

Because they are growing so quickly, sometimes the organization and direction for incoming engineers feels sloppy and underdeveloped. You must be very pro-active and work outside of your responsiblities if you want to make the most of your time.

Pros

9/80 work schedule, Benefits package

Cons

Unskilled management, HQ location is the worst place to work. They roll out fake employee opinion survey, supposed to be anonymous, but they with their vendor deliver the survey with an individual IP address and password. They pretent to be a Best place to work, so far from that, we they have not defined core values. No training, no development, culture of punishment, no inclusion. At the of each week the only thing that you can say is " I survived" even with the 9/80. Too bad CPChem
